I hope everyone is doing well despite COVID-19 and everything else that’s making 2020 a year most of us just want to be over now. For me, a lack of travel has meant time for a re-assessment of my life goals and passions. I have re-discovered my passion for healthy cooking and healthy eating, and I became a certified nutritionist. I have recently made a decision to focus my blog, my Facebook page, and my Instagram account on healthy eating.
This will be the last blog post I write purely about travel, at least for quite some time. As a finale, I want to share my favorite little trip I made last year. If you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend a visit.
I stopped in Key West, Florida while on a Caribbean cruise last December. It’s quite an ideal cruise excursion because one day is enough to see most of the island, have a meal and a Hemingway daiquiri(!), and enjoy a museum or two. If I ever go back, I would simply choose additional museums, and I would return to Sloppy Joe’s for some of the best drinks I’ve ever had.
Key West has a couple of different tour trains, and I chose the Conch train due to positive reviews and ease of access. I hopped off the train to explore Ernest Hemingway’s Home and Museum. I learned more about Ernest Hemingway’s life, and enjoyed seeing the historical site, but being interactive with the kitties was my favorite part. Check out the home and the cute and loving 40-50 polydactyl cats (cats who have that genes for extra toes) in my video:
